Mark Marquess

Mark Marquess was an undersized (5'8", 160lbs) right winger who played with the Boston Bruins in the 1946-47 season. He impressed with two goals in his first game, but only added 3 more (and four assists) in the next 26 games). 
Born in Bassano, Alta., Marquess got to know the west really well, playing junior hockey in BC anad Saskatchewan. He spent five seasons with the Hershey Bears in the AHL but finished his career returning to the west. He played in Tacoma and Seattle before moving back to BC to play with Victoria and Vancouver. He continued to play senior hockey in the Okanagan region after retiring as a pro. 
Marquess settled in Washington state.
