Eddie Shack Beat Out The Beatles, The Stones and Sinatra

The final week of February 1966 was a good time for music. Down in the United States the top song on the Billboard charts was a hotly contested affair between Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'," the Bobby Fuller Four's "I Fought The Law," the Beatles "Nowhere Man," and the Rolling Stones "19th Nervous Breakdown."

Meanwhile in Canada it wasn't even close. The top spot easily went to Douglas Rankine and The Secrets for their jingle, "Clear The Track, Here Comes Shack."
