Great One To Cursed Ones: Gretzky Drafted By Cubbies

The Chicago Cubs drafted the son of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky in the seventh round of the baseball draft on Tuesday.

Trevor Gretzky, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound first baseman at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, Calif., was drafted with the 219th overall selection by the Cubs. Gretzky has committed to play baseball under Tony Gwynn at San Diego State.

Trevor Gretzky is quite the athlete. He was also known as a star high school quarterback. That team also featured sons of Joe Montana and Will Smith.

I have no idea if Trevor can play hockey. But I do know Wayne grew up loving baseball. On more than one occasion he has stated he probably loved it more than hockey.
