1946 Stanley Cup: Montreal Canadiens

The year is 1946. The Montreal Canadiens would win their third consecutive regular season title, and return as Stanley Cup champions as they had done in 1944.

Elmer Lach was the undisputed MVP of the Canadiens' successful championship run. He scored 12 assists, a new NHL record, and 17 points, one shy of the NHL record, in this post season.

Lach's linemates, Rocket Richard and Toe Blake each score 7 goals.

The Canadiens went 8-1 in these playoffs, sweeping Chicago in the semis and taking Boston 4-1 in the finals.
