This is the great Guy Lafleur in much happier times. He is celebrating a Stanley Cup victory with his father.
Today was not one of Lafleur's happiest days. The hockey great was found guilty of giving contradictory testimony while under oath at his son Mark's bail hearing back in 2007.
Under Quebec law the maximum sentence for this crime is a 14 year jail sentence. However Lafleur will not likely go to jail. His defence lawyer is seeking a fine, while the Crown has asked for a conditional sentence.
