No Classic, But...

Last night's clash between Chicago and Vancouver was hardly a classic, but here's some interesting tidbits:
  • The Canucks blew a three-goal lead in the third period, and then rallied to defeat the Blackhawks, 5-3. Only three other teams in NHL postseason history have won in regulation after frittering away a three-goal lead in the third period. The last to do so was Vancouver in the 1994 Stanley Cup Final against the Rangers.
  • Pavol Demitra likes playing the Hawks. He opened the scoring last night, and has had 24 regular-season goals against Chicago since 1997-98, tying him for the most goals against the Blackhawks over that span; Paul Kariya and Brendan Shanahan also have 24.
  • Nikolai Khabibulin is now 0-10-2 with a 3.47 goals-against average and .871 save percentage in his last 12 games against Vancouver (regular season and playoffs combined). Khabibulin has not won a game against the Canucks since January 26, 1998.
