A look at Alex Delvecchio

Dave Stubbs of the Montreal Gazette looks back at the career of Alex Delvecchio:
It was on a 1950s dynasty headlined by the famous Production Line - Sid Abel centring Howe and Lindsay - and the brilliant goaler Terry Sawchuk that Delvecchio performed in very long shadows.

"It was unbelievable," he recalled of making the NHL. "You'd ask yourself, 'How can this be?' It was an awesome feeling, playing with guys like Terry, Gordie, Teddy, Sid, Leo Reise and Bob Goldham on defence."
