New Look For Leafs, Canucks?

I recently discovered http://nhllogos.blogspot.com/. Man this is a sweet website, especially given all the jersey and logo changes this off season.

Sweater changes are common place this summer, partly due to the new RBK uniform system, and partly to drive up revenues and therefore afford that ridiculously high salary cap. Tampa Bay. New York Islanders. Ottawa. I don't know if I've seen an improved jersey yet. Maybe Washington.

At least the Original Six teams Boston, Detroit and New York Rangers haven't messed with history. But CBC is reporting the Toronto Maple Leafs may be in for a major sweater redesign. Check out this video report from a really nicely revamped CBC Sports website.

Vancouver's has apparently been leaked, and will be officially unveiled on August 29th. The logo itself won't change, according to leaks, but the color scheme will. There has been tons of speculation about the return of Johnny Canuck, which I would endorse! Well, this version more so than this version. Or at least the removal of the Orca Bay corporate label now that the team has changed ownership.

Now there's an online artist who has created a logo that definitely won't be on Vancouver's uniform this season, but you got to admit it a) respects history and b) is pretty damn cool.
