GreatestHockeyLegends.com Easter Egg Hunt

It is time for the annual Easter Egg Hunt here at GreatestHockeyLegends.com.

I have hidden hockey themed Easter Eggs in profiles of selected goaltenders. The Easter Eggs look like this picture to the right, and they can be found at the very bottom of the page of the selected goalies. Using the alphabetical listing at the top of this page, search the goalie profiles for the eggs and email me the names of the goalies with the Easter Eggs.

The person who finds the most eggs will win an autographed copy of my book, The Legends of Team Canada.

Contest closes at 9pm PST on Easter Monday - April 25th, 2011. Good luck and have a great long weekend!

Easter Egg Hunt Winners

I actually thought no one would find the hidden Easter Eggs this year. To my surprise, 14 people found every last one.

I hid 5 Easter Egg images amongst my 3100 posts through out the Greatest Hockey Legends network. The eggs were to be found on the biography pages of some pretty obscure hockey legends - Willi Plett, Bill Beveridge, Jack Darragh, Tim "Muddy" Watters and Winthrop "Ding" Palmer.

The grand prize winner, by random draw, is Tracy McLean of Waterloo, Ontario. Tracy receives a $100 gift certificate for Amazon.

The secondary prize, a copy of McCown's Law: The 100 Greatest Hockey Arguments, goes out to Philip O'Grady.

Greatest Hockey Legends.com 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Did you know that in the three years of creating the Greatest Hockey Legends.com network of websites I have made just shy of 3100 postings?

That's a pretty daunting number, especially when it comes to Easter time. That's because for the second year in a row I am running the Greatest Hockey Legends.com Easter Egg Hunt!

Within five of the player biographies posted here you will find an image of Easter Eggs. If you can find all five postings hiding the Easter Eggs, email me with the player's names. All contestants with five correct answers will be entered into a random drawing for a $100 gift certificate to either Amazon.ca or Amazon.com, your choice.

Because 5 out of 3100 is pretty tough odds, I've also decided on a secondary prize. For every player you can correctly identify, I will enter your name into a drawing for a copy of McCown's Law: The 100 Greatest Hockey Arguments. So if you can find three of the players, you get three entries, and so forth.

So email me with your answers. You have until midnight EST on Good Friday. Winners will be announced on Easter Sunday!
