How bad are the Canucks this season?

Oh dear. The Canucks bad start has basically buried them already. The odds of them making the playoffs now are increasingly slim. Their best hope is the global pandemic forces the NHL to shut down the entire season.

Everyone is asking what has gone wrong. The answer is pretty much everything. I don't even know where to start.

The fact that the young team has regressed is no surprise. That predicted regression became a little more likely with the division realignment, as the Canadian division is significantly tougher than their usual Pacific division.

The only question now is - what now? Do heads roll? Do Jim Benning and Travis Green have to worry about their futures? Or is this season under such unusual circumstances you just crumple it up and move forward next season?

I don't know the answers. But what I do know is I actually turned off the Canucks game vs Toronto on Saturday night. I've watched the Canucks lose a lot over the last 50 years, but 99% of the time I watch them lose right to the final whistle. On Saturday I turned it off.

Yep, it's that bad.
