May 4, 2000: The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series, still the third-longest game in NHL history. Philadelphia's Keith Primeau scored at 12:01 of the fifth overtime period (92:01 into overtime). The game's duration of six hours, 56 minutes set an NHL record.
