1966 - Bobby Orr signed his first NHL contract with the Boston Bruins -- a two year deal paying $70,000 plus a signing bonus.

1970 - Los Angeles Kings traded Garry Monahan with Brian Murphy to Toronto in exchange for veteran center Bob Pulford.

1987 - Toronto Maple Leafs acquired Ed Olczyk and Al Secord from Chicago for Bob McGill, Steve Thomas and Rick Vaive.

1991 - New York Rangers signed free agent Adam Graves.

1991 - New Jersey Devils were awarded St. Louis defenseman Scott Stevens, as compensation for the Blues signing of Brendan Shanahan.
