A collection of Luc Robitaille's memorabilia headline Classic Auction's June 2011 offering.
The puck Lucky Luc scored his 500th goal with, a number of game used sticks and a whole slew of game worn jerseys are amongst the notable items listed.
But for me it is Robitaille's personal collection of non-hockey sports memorabilia that intrigues the most. That includes items from Sandy Koufax, Muhammed Ali, Michael Jordan, Joe Montana and Mark O'Meara.
Robitaille made headlines in May with news of some financial difficulty, as the bank foreclosed on his $950,000 house in Santa Monica. However this auction has nothing to do with whatever problems he may be having. All monies raised from this auction will go to Robitaille's charitable endeavor Echoes of Hope.
