Pucks On The 'Net: Riverton Rifle Edition

Here's a couple notes:
  • Philadelphia's James Van Riemsdyk has goals in 5 consecutive playoff games. The NHL record is 10 straight games, by Flyers legend Reggie Leach in 1976.
  • Tim Thomas was very impressive in with a 52 save performance in game 2 of the Boston/Washington series. In the last 35 years only three other NHL goaltenders made 52 or more saves while winning a playoff game that did not go to multiple overtime periods: Montreal's Patrick Roy and Vancouver's Kirk McLean, both in 1994, and Montreal's Jaroslav Halak last year, also against the Capitals.
  • Canucks vs Predators in the swing game tonight. This could be a statement game for Vancouver, as we may see what they are made of. Will they continue to struggle? Or will they come out and remind us all that they are the team to beat?
