Finns Looking To Repeat History

Due to the Stanley Cup playoffs and time zone differences, I have not paid too much attention to the World Hockey Championships. I watched much of Canada vs Russia, and, like everyone, have been highly impressed with the Finns.

Finland is going for gold on Sunday against Sweden, hoping to repeat history from 1995 when they beat their Nordic arch-rivals to win their first - and last - World Hockey Championships.

It should be a real special event in Finland on Sunday. The current generation of players more or less grew up with that world title ranking as one of that country's greatest hockey accomplishments.
