Scott Arniel is the new head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets. I've taken this opportunity to get back to my biographies of former players, jogging the cobwebs in my memory bank to recall Scott Arniel as a player. It turns out I probably didn't appreciate Arniel as a player as much as I should have, so I'm hoping to have a chance to rectify that now that he has returned to the National Hockey League.
I also took the time remember defenseman Doug Halward, and research the career of long-ago Chicago Black Hawks star Red Hamill.
