Nels Crutchfield & 2 Guys Like Me

Mike Wyman has an excellent look at the life of Nels Crutchfield over at Inside Hockey. Here's just a snippet:
"The first game played to benefit a fallen member of the Montreal Canadiens was not the 1937 match that raised $20,000 for the Morenz family, but one that was held on January 31st, 1936 with the proceeds going to rookie Nelson Crutchfield, who played his only NHL season with the Habs in 1934-35."
Wyman's lengthy columns at Inside Hockey are great finds. He's profiled Babe Dye, Sprague Cleghorn, and Nels Stewart (amongst others), offered many book reviews and comments on today's game. It's a whole lot like GHL, though I wish I could write like and had the contacts like Wyman.

Also check out Chris Mizzoni's website Nitzy's Hockey Den. It is also very much along the same lines as GHL, so I'm sure you will enjoy it, too.
