The Great Quote

David Staples has an excellent piece on Wayne Gretzky's most famous quote. You know, this one: "I go to where the puck is going, not where it has been."
This Gretzky quote only feeds the legend of Gretzky as an almost supernaturally talented and brilliant hockey player. Decades from now, long after people no longer conjure up images of Gretzky as the player he was, this quote might still be making the rounds, still be used by business, religious, political and sporting leaders trying to make their point about the need to be anticipatory and the benefits of great vision.

The Great Quote is a fitting legacy for the Great One. And like so many things with Wayne Gretzky, it originated with his father, Walter.
