Frank Brimsek, a rare American goalie back in the 1940s, owns the nickname that every puckstopper wants: Mr. Zero.The native of Eveleth, Minnesota recorded 6 shutouts in his first 8 NHL games and wiped out a league record for consecutive scoreless minutes. "Mr. Zero" had arrived.
Brimsek was also tagged with the moniker "The Minnesota Icicle."
