It was a nice gesture by Canada to honor the late Luc Bourdon on Friday night.Bourdon was a member of the 2006 and 2007 gold medal winning teams. He died in a motorcycle accident in the summer of 2008.
The Canadian players will wear an ‘LB’ sticker on their helmets in honour of Bourdon. In addition, no Canadian player will wear the # 6 jersey this year in tribute to Bourdon, who wore # 6 in both of his IIHF World Junior Championship appearances.
