This is Gilles Lupien.Nowadays he is best known as Roberto Luongo's agent. But there was a time when he, too, was a NHL player, though nowhere nearly as prestigious as Luongo.
He was a towering defenseman who played a bit role with Montreal's championship teams in 1978 and 1979. He also played with Pittsburgh and Hartford, totalling 226 NHL games played, scoring just 5 times.
Despite this, somehow "Loopy" gained his own fan club in the city of Calgary of all places, this despite never once playing a NHL game in the Albertan city.
