Greatest Photos In Hockey History

The picture above is of Rocket Richard enjoying his true passion - fishing. Accompanied by Butch Bouchard, the photo is part of a Charles Wilkins snapshot of the Rocket in the May 2006 edition of Outdoor Canada magazine. The article gives a great insight into Maurice Richard the man, not the hockey player, and his other passion. His love of fishing many times exceeded his love of hockey, and he even tried to make it his professional life after hockey.

The return of the "Rocket Fishing" photo to Greatest Hockey Legends.com can mean only mean one thing: Joe's going on vacation! Finally!

Last year Howie Meeker took over my site in my absence. This year I'm doing something much different. Thanks to pre-scheduled publishing arrangements, I will have fresh content every day that I'm away!

I will be counting down the 20 Greatest Photos In Hockey History. As Hockey Night In Canada host Ron MacLean once said "In these photos the world's fastest game stands still."

For the next 20 days tune in, converse with others, and soak in the hockey history.
