Rocket Richard's Unconscious Goal

It is one of the most famous photographs in Stanley Cup playoffs history.

A bloodied Rocket Richard shakes the hand of respectful goaltender Sugar Jim Henry just moments after Richard buried the Boston Bruins with an unbelievable goal to eliminate Boston, and put Montreal into the 1952 Stanley Cup finals. And Richard may have done it in a state of less than 100% consciousness.

Jennifer Conway relivess Rocket Richard's Unconscious Goal in a stirring account that is almost as dramatic as the famous photograph.

This handshake certainly ranks (along with Bobby Orr's OT goal) as one of the most famous photographs in hockey history.
