Passion Is The Common Theme Among Legends

I've been on record saying that as often as I try to watch Sidney Crosby play in his first three NHL seasons (plus the world junior tournaments), I've seen Sidney Crosby been consistently very, very good, but not yet great. I've kept my closest eye on him this season and especially this playoff, and I continue to think the same way.

Until game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals.

I won't say he was great like some of the legends before him, but I have to say I was thoroughly impressed more so than ever before.

It is not so much the fact that he scored 2 goals that impressed me, but the Mark Messier-style leadership and gumption he displayed and how that propelled his teammates on to victory. Sid the kid is quickly maturing into a warrior.

There is one thing that seperates greats from legends: Passion. Sidney Crosby oozes it.
