Trevor Linden's Last Stand

This week may very well be the last week I will ever get to watch my favorite hockey player perform.

It is widely expected that Trevor Linden will finally hang up his skates and Canucks jersey at the end of the season. Though he will always rank among my all time favorites, the time has come.

The Canucks are in real trouble in terms of making the 2008 playoffs. They more-or-less need to win all four of this week's games in order to ensure inclusion.

They got off to a nice start with a 6-2 victory of Calgary on Sunday night, thanks to Trevor Linden's 2 goals.

There is just something about ol' number 16 in Vancouver. He always brings his "A" game when you need it most. He's long been a noted playoff warrior and big game player. And he's proving that he still can contribute to his team's success.

Both he and Stan Smyl were truly deserving of the title "Mr. Canuck."

Hasn't Linden played in every single Game 7 in Canucks playoff history?

My first favourite player. Hopefully he sticks around for one more season!
