Tough Start In HITME Hollywood

My HITME simulation hockey league team is faring worse than even I expected.

I'm running the 1972-73 Los Angeles Kings. Though I've made roster changes to bring in the likes of Reggie Leach and Bobby Rousseau, the '72-73 Kings is hardly a team you want to try to win with.

Now I figured I'd have a pop-gun offense. Juha Widing, Butch Goring, Ralph Backstrom, Bob Berry and Mike Corrigan might yet all challenge the 20 goal mark, but so far all are disappointing, as is Rousseau. I honestly haven't given Leach a fair shake yet, favoring Rousseau and Chico Maki for their better defensive ratings.

I figured my blue line was going to be serviceable though lacking that needed stud back there. I guess a top six of Ron Plumb, Gilles Marotte, Ron Busniuk, Barry Long, Noel Price and Terry Harper isn't going to be good enough.

I figured Rogie Vachon would be my saving grace, literally, and mask many of my problems. But so far he's been a sieve. My specialty teams are down near the bottom of the league and team morale is deteriorating.
