Fredrik Olausson Needs Liver Transplant

News out of Sweden tonight has Fredrik Olausson suffering from a severe liver ailment requiring a transplant.

Olausson, a 1000+ game NHL veteran best remembered with the Winnipeg Jets, was still playing hockey this season with Färjestads BK of the Swedish Elite League. The hard shooting Olausson scored 147 goals and 434 assists in his NHL career. He won a world championship in 1989, the Stanley Cup in 2002, and participated in the 2002 Winter Olympics.
