...the most successful era in Leafs history has been removed from the Stanley Cup. On the trophy that symbolizes NHL supremacy, and a good chunk of Canadiana, there is no longer a mention of the Leafs' championship wins of 1942, 1945, 1947, 1948, 1949 and 1951. Update - James Mirtle, one of only two bloggers I read at least once a day, ponders the possibility of increasing the size of the Stanley Cup to preserve hockey history as per practice in the past.
