Nieuwendyk Retires

Due to a chronic bad back that has plagued him for years, Joe Nieuwendyk was forced to retire on Wednesday. Jame Mirtle remembers one of hockey's all time good guys in a perfect tribute.
Very quietly, Nieuwendyk had an outstanding career... And now he's off to the Hall of Fame.
Long time Flames reporter Eric Duhatsechek weighs in with his memories of the great clutch performer. Nieuwendyk won gold with Canada, and Stanley Cups with Calgary, Dallas and New Jersey.
